- Badaling Great Wall--Ming Tombs
After breakfast, we will drive to the Badaling Great Wall, the most visited and best-preserved section of the Great Wall of China. Stretching across rugged mountains, Badaling was a strategic military outpost in ancient times. You can walk along its stone pathways, climb the watchtowers, and admire the breathtaking panoramic views that once guarded the empire.
After visiting the Great Wall, we will head to a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch, featuring a variety of northern Chinese dishes to refuel for the afternoon journey.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Ming Tombs, a royal burial complex where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty were laid to rest. Among them, the Changling Tomb is the largest and most well-preserved. Stroll along the Sacred Way, lined with stone statues of animals and officials, and explore the grand halls and peaceful courtyards that reflect the solemnity and dignity of imperial history.
After the tour, we will go back to Beijing and end the day with unforgettable memories of China's ancient wonders.
